Because I am leaving this Sunday (3/17) to take care of my great-nieces for 4 days, then go straight to the Hotel where the BlissDom Conference is being held, I’m starting to pack now. Brody is going with me to my nieces house, so that’s packing for two. Whew – I’m glad I have my list with me so I know what to pack and what to NOT forget.
My sweet great-nieces whom I will be taking care of while their parents relax in Hawaii. My niece got three of her family members to care for them a couple of days at a time. So, I’ll see the happy couple come home, then off to BlissDom I go!!!
Anyway, back to packing. I was perusing Lauri Meek’s website Office Candy to see what cute office supplies I may need and ran across this cool notepad called PACK THIS! I emailed her because I had a question about it and she asked if I would be interested in reviewing the pad in exchange for her sending one to me. I said…YES. It’s got items on there that I would have never thought of. You know how when you leave on a trip, there’s always one or two items you forgot to pack. Well, hopefully this handy dandy notepad will help me – and would help anyone for that matter, not to forget anything. Click here to read my review on this awesome notepad.
Here’s a few things on the list here that never crossed my mind or perhaps I didn’t think about it until I saw it in print.
- Emergency contact info
- Plastic bag(s)
- Sewing kit (you never know)
- Phone charger (read below)
- Traveling pillow (read below)
- Underwear (ha! surely you wouldn’t forget those!)
- Robe or something comfy to wear while you’re getting ready
- Swimsuit (especially in the wintertime – don’t forget about the indoor heated pools)
- Reading glasses
- Dental Floss (I’d never forget this!)
- Washcloth (b/c hotels never give you enough)
- Contact lenses case
- Awwwww – the ole Lint roller
- First-aid kit
- Birth Control – oh no, don’t forget that
This is just a brief list of items that’s on this list – there’s many many more items.
Also, this list is going to be much needed when you leave your destination to come back home. So you won’t leave anything behind in the hotel room, it’s a good idea to bring a PACK THIS! sheet with you. Last year at BloggyCon in Cinn, OH. I had 3 other roommates. Two of them left something behind. I was the last to leave the room, so I scoured it for anything that perhaps I left and I found a PHONE CHARGER and a TRAVELING PILLOW. Not that I minded AT ALL…but I had to find a place to put them in my suitcase which was already overflowing, then I had to contact them and get those items back to them. Really, I was glad I could do it and I’m sure they both were thrilled to get those things back.
Well, I better get to packin’. What items have you left behind or forgot from home? Happy traveling – where ever you may be off to!
