My husband had always wanted to stop in Seattle for a few days, before heading up to Alaska, but we just couldn’t fit it in. So this year, we decided to fly to Seattle and vacation there. If you’ve never been to Seattle, I recommend you go. The weather was great, food was fantastic, lots to see and do.
Tracy loves good food, so eating at fine restaurants was definitely on his list to do. I like to shop and sight see, so we knew Pike Place Market was a great place to go for all three. We made sure we stayed at a hotel that was near. We did not rent a car, nor did we have to as everything we wanting to do was either walking distance or on a tour bus or ferry. We knew that before we left.
Pike Place Market is everything you’ve heard about and more. Travelers from all over put this spot on their list to do…I could tell this by the crowded street every day we were there! Make plans to buy you some fresh flowers for your hotel room. Flowers are very very cheap and they are so pretty.
I do want to tell you…be prepared to walk, walk, walk. There’s so much to do that is walking distance. May I suggest taking a City Bus Tour to be the first activity you do. That
way, you’ll know what places you’d like to visit and not take up took much of your time trying planning everything. Of course, planning ahead is great too. The
