Did you know Seattle is the home of Jimmy Hendricks (I’m probably the
only one that didn’t know that), and Microsoft, UPS, Boeing,
Nordstrom’s, and Starbucks all started in Seattle, WA?
Batali’s (Food Network Chef) parents own a restaurant there (sorry, I
don’t recall the name) and foodies from all over visit there. There’s
always a line to wait in to get a table. Another place that had a line a
mile long was the original Starbucks coffee shop. Coffee drinkers from
all over gather there!
Seattle is known as the
“Bike City” and has the largest bicycle club. Lots of bicyclers on the
sidewalks. Tracy and I were wondering if we or they had the right away.
– oh my – so many places to eat. Here’s a few of my recommendations and where we
ate. I will say that nothing we ate was a disappointment.
Place Market – Lowell’s for breakfast. We ate there once together, Tracy ate
there another time alone, and we got take-out on our last day…so yes, go
Ivar’s – a very nice place for dinner. Be sure to make reservations on weekends. You do not have to dress up. Notice, I had on a sweater…it was a tad chilly that evening.
The Crab Pot – eat indoors or out. Share a feast!!
Seattle’s Ferris Wheel – the view is beautiful and the ride was nice!
Seattle, WA. is a very nice place for a vacation…..with the whole family!!
