That’s us in this small north Texas town. Yep, icy roads and freezing rain here and my little one is hoping for snow! Thank goodness we have JOLLY TIME Popcorn and a movie to keep us occupied on this blissful winter day!!
Well, look what Brody and I whipped up yesterday. I prepared this recipe by JOLLY TIME Pop Corn using half of what it called for just in case he didn’t like them because of the “heat” – but who knew….he did eat his share of the remains in the bowl alright!

20 cups popped JOLLY TIME® Butter Light
1 cup mild molasses
1 cup agave syrup
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Place popcorn in large bowl. Mix remaining ingredients in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; cook and stir about 8 minutes.
- Pour hot molasses mixture over popcorn; toss quickly, until popcorn is well coated.
wet or buttered hands, press coated popcorn into a ½-cup measuring cup,
creating crisp cakes. You can also just use your hands. Place onto wax paper; cool
completely. Makes about 2 dozen.
