Aww…the things a family can pack into a day!! Here’s how my family spent the day getting into the Christmas spirit!!
First and foremost, it’s festive around here, so I’m wearing my Tipsy Elves Jumpsuit compliments of Tipsy Elves themselves. Why? Because they wanted to see just how festive I can get as me and my family get into the holiday spirit!! Thank You Tipsy Elves.
Second, we put up the Christmas Tree. This year we are doing something different. We added a bunch of deer horns and tied red ribbons around a few of them. With a few ornaments I had to put on, our simple, yet cozy and warm tree is perfect!! Not to mention the love my husband has for it!!! Any body who’s husband is a a hunter, you’ll now exactly what I’m talking about. Excuse the messy background as I am still wrapping presents…and looks like we still need to tweak the topper. I’m thinking that a few horns need to go up there, then the star can go on on top of the horns. What do you think?
Third, we had dinner with Santa at the high school with all the Kindergartners. Brody saw a few of his friends and of course he got to whisper to Santa what he wanted for Christmas. The 2nd & 3rd graders sang Christmas Carols to us as we ate sub sandwiches and cookies. I just love that he whispered it!!!
Fourth, we drove through the Gift of Lights at the +Texas Motor Speedway. Something new this year is the Santa Village – you can get out of your car and go inside where it’s warm, and have hot chocolate, get your picture taken with Santa, ride a train, take snap shots like we did. We did ride that train, but adults – save $3 and don’t ride it. Let the kids enjoy it and you can watch. They don’t go far…and my husband could barely fit in the small train. Too funny!! Sorry, but he wouldn’t let me take a picture of him.
Lastly, I may never take off my Tipsy Elves Jumpsuit again…it’s the most comfortable onesie I’ve ever put my body into!! If you’d like to see more festive spirit you’ve got to follow #TipsyElves on social media. I can just imagine what other people have in store for the holidays!!
