It’s hard to believe that Brody is now 6 years old. I actually started Mommie…Again when he was about 8 months old as that was when we knew he would be ours forever. It’s sad that a tragedy had to happen for us to get him permanently. That was 5-1/2 years ago, and though we are still hurt by it, life does have to go on. I’ve spoken of this tragedy only a few times on my blog and that’s they way I want it for now. ANY WAY, Brody is our son and we are his mom and dad.
Although, Mommie…Again has veered in a few other directions, such as; healthy living, gluten-free, and women’s interests – my heart and my blog is still about Brody and the fun activities we do as a family and always will be.
Here’s Brody’s first 5 years of life. Enjoy!!
Brody was the best baby. He was so lovable and so sweet and slept through the night and didn’t take a pacifier – oh he was such a doll….then….
Brody Turns One.
Oh my heavens – Brody was a spitfire for sure – never stayed in one place for too long. But his cute little expressions kept us laughing and in love!!
Brody Turns Two.
We JUST thought he was a spitfire last year, but whoa. We kept him in all kinds of activities b/c he wore be out at home. A strong willed child for sure.
Brody Turns Three.
Aw….the threes. Another year of sports and anything I could find for us to do. Brody is truly his own little person. He’s got opinions and he already at this point thinks he knows everything!!
Brody Turns Four.
Every year he surprises us with something I thought only teens did, or would want to do. We let Brody be his own person, and I just hope my husband and I are doing the right thing. Parenting is never easy – doesn’t matter if it’s the second time around!!
Brody Turns 5.
This year was spectacular. A few bumps in the road with him thinking he’s the boss of the house and we are just there to cater to him. We’ve come to grips that maybe we’ve been spoiling him a bit…I’ve backed off…and now if my husband would untie that string around his finger – we might be okay!!!
Well, here’s to Brody being Six – we’ve started Kindergarten and he’s already above average in his class!!
Until the next 5 years…Mommie…Again will be bringing my readers a lot of healthy information about family, women’s interests, fun things to do in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, family travel, gardening, all my awesome DIY’s and crafts – oh and our wonderful pets…and so on!!
Thanks for staying around.
