Is having a relationship with your pharmacist really that important? Of course it is. Managing your health with your pharmacist can be vital to your all over wellness. You and your pharmacist, along with your doctor can make a great team!
Disclosure: I’m proud to be working with CVS Pharmacy on the CVS Pharmacy Difference Campaign. All opinions expressed are my own, and all product claims or program details shared should be verified at CVS.com or with the appropriate manufacturers.
This is Stuart. He is a CVS pharmacy tech. He was nice enough to let me take his picture while the pharmacist filled my prescription.
Do you already have a relationship with your pharmacist like you do with your doctor? If so, then you are one step ahead of taking better care of your health.
It’s important to see your pharmacist as part of your health care team.
Pharmacists are here to help us with our health care needs. Don’t be afraid to ask he or she questions like you would ask your own doctor. Let’s say you forgot to ask your doctor something that was very important to you at your last appointment, like “what are the side effects of this prescription?” or “what happens if I miss a dose?”, you can ask your pharmacist and they will give you a reassuring answer.
Now-a-days, pharmacists like to give counsel to patients that are prescribed new medicine. This would be an excellent opportunity for you to ask questions. Having reinforcement and reassurance is a good thing, and having so, makes us less stressful, wouldn’t you agree? All Pharmacists would and should take time to talk with patients about anything and everything health related. I have found this to be true at my CVS Pharmacy which is now located in the Target store I go to. Hopefully by now, you are aware that CVS Pharmacy is now located inside Target stores. If you would like to know more about this merge, please visit my first blog post on CVS PHARMACY BRINGS MANY BENEFITS TO TARGET AND TO TARGET’S CUSTOMERS.
Not only can I get my prescriptions filled at my favorite Target store, I can do some much-needed shopping while I wait on it. It’s a win win situation for me since I’m always in a hurry going here and there. And…what’s better is you can use your CVS ExtraCare rewards to earn points on your prescriptions and pay for it with your Target red card if you choose to. Since the merge of CVS Pharmacy inside Target stores, I have found it saves me more time at the grocery store than every before!!
You, your doctor, and your CVS Pharmacist are one health care team – use it to your ability! The next time you’re in Target, be sure to stop by the CVS Pharmacy counter and say hello to your pharmacist and to your pharmacy technician. CVS Pharmacy is ready to serve you! It’s #TheCVSDifference
