Curves® is turning 25 this year and wants you to know all about it!
I’m excited to spend a full month with my workout partner, Becky at our local Curves in Hurst, TX. We will get our fitness journey on and I will show you all how a 30-minute workout at Curves can help you with your own fitness journey so you can get stronger and feel #CurveStrong. There’s no mirrors in the whole place and no men staring at you. If you’re like me, I don’t feel comfortable working out when there are men in the room that I don’t know. So this feels right to me.
Every woman has a reason to want their own “me time”, and mine is pretty simple. Raising my grandson in my menopause years is quite trying at times, and I feel so much better when I take time out for myself and exercise. Curves is for moms, grandmas, business women and any female looking to get in a fitness routine that will build every major muscle group with strengthen training, cardio and stretching.

The minute we walked in we were greeted with enthusiasm by the owner, then off we went to learn the machines with her right by our side. She took her time with us and showed us how to use each machine. The 30-minute circuit is two times around, and by then you’ll know pretty much how to work the machines the next time you go.
With the Curves circuit being 30-minutes, there’s plenty of time to catch a bite to eat before heading back to work or to run a few errands before picking up the kids. You’ll get a totally workout on all your core muscle groups too. Don’t tell Jeanine, but I love the stretching part the best (see above picture). Aww, it feels so good to stretch my body, especially after a workout.
Between working out at Curves and walking a mile every other day, I’m feeling pretty good these days. A little sore in my shins, but nothing I can’t handle.
At our second workout we had our measurements done by a staff member, and made a month-long goal. I would totally love to lose about 5 lbs in the month I’m there. That would be terrific!
