As I look back, I realize we have gone to Gaylord Texan’s Lone Star ICE for the past 8-9 years. Though I only have record of a few visits on my blog, we have had many more years of fun there. I wanted to share our 9 Years of Gaylord Texan’s Lone Star ICE with you.
This is the best place I can think of to start a Family Tradition. I suppose after visiting here for the past 9 years, I can truly call it our Family Tradition.
9 Years of Gaylord Texan’s Lone Star ICE
My family has been going to ICE since 2009 (maybe since 2008), and it’s pretty amazing. You have to bundle up in a big coat (they provide) and you can slide down a giant ice slide. It’s family friendly all around. ICE themes change every year, and it simply gets more amazing each year! Grab a hot chocolate and pick up a few souvenirs in their Christmas shop. This year they even have Build-A-Bear there, and the tubes (more ice slides) seemed even longer and more fun!! Christmastime at the Gaylord is a must!
2016 – SANTA CLAUS IS COMIN’ TO TOWN
The best yet!! I wanted a Build-A-Bear so bad…but I resisted!! Just me and Brody this time, but lots of other bloggers and kiddos were there too.
2015 – CHRISTMAS AROUND THE WORLD
We invited a friend and his mom this year. Those boys had the best time!! We also stayed the night.
2014 – FROSTY THE SNOWMAN
I actually did a blog post on this visit – see it here.
2013 – The Nutcracker
still looking for a photo! Yikes
2012 – MERRY MADAGASCAR
This visit has to be the best as the whole family went!! All four of my grand kids!!!
2011 – SHREK the HALLS
Family and extended family and friends here.
2010 – Charlie Brown Christmas
sadly, I can not locate a photo…but I know we went!!
2009 – How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
As of right now, this might be the first ICE we went to. I haven’t given up on finding if we went in 2008.
2008 – This is only their 4th ICE and not sure it had a theme.
As you can see, we LOVE Gaylord Texan’s Lone Star ICE. The last two I was invited by the Gaylord and they gave us tickets in exchange for social exposure, but for the most part, my family has enjoyed many years of ICE on our own and there will be many more to come!!
There’s still time for you to Celebrate the Holidays at Gaylord Texan’s 13th Annual Lone Star Christmas!! For more information check out ChristmasAtGaylordTexan.com
