It’s that time again when I like to decorate…or re-decorate. This year I’m going with layers. I love to decorate my dining room table for each season, but right now since it’s not quite fall, I’m preparing my table for some company that’s coming over tomorrow and thought I’d at least start on the fall but keep my spring/summer look for now.
You’ll see in the following photos that I used a variety of mediums for my layers. When fall rolls around I’ll take away this vase and will add some fall decor from last year coupled with some new pieces, but will keep the layers of runners on. I love to shop!!!
I love to shop at Pottery Barn. This has got to be my favorite place of all. I almost always go straight in the back to their sale table. A lot of times, I can find real good bargains. This burlap runner was not on sale and I believe I paid $30 for it a couple of years ago. This is a piece that will go with anything!! I can use it all year round if I choose too.
Williams-Sonoma is another place I like to shop. This runner I found on clearance for only $14.99. That was a steal…and I really didn’t even need it as I just bought one at Pottery Barn for full price!! Why do we do that???
HMK Est. 1910 is a new shop in Southlake Town Square. It’s a great shopping place that you can customize your gifts with either embroidery or laser. HMK is Hallmark’s creative concept. You’ve gotta go there. I just did a review on this store here, if you’d like to read about it.
I think we all shop at Kohl’s every now and then for just about everything, right? This is actually a place mat. It’s great to use for contrast and a tad bit of height.
So this quick and easy layering look can be very affordable if you add expensive with non-expensive mediums. Don’t forget to look for those sales – they are everywhere!!!
