Easy Paleo Blackberry Crumble
This paleo blackberry crumble is probably the easiest dessert I’ve ever made. I like to bake healthy desserts whenever I can…AND desserts that I think my husband and son will eat. This one – they both liked!!
My husband gave me a recipe book called Practical PALEO by Diane Sanfilippo for Christmas a couple of years ago, and I’ve been trying varies recipes from it since. This dessert is in the book under Fresh Blueberry Crumble. I just substituted blackberries because I have plenty from our blackberry bush out back.
- 2 pints of blackberries
- juice of one lemon
- 1 cup almond flour (you can use almond meal too)
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 tbls pure maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- pinch or 2 of salt
Place blackberries in a baking dish, and squeeze lemon juice all over and mix in. Mix everything else in mixing bowl, then spread it over the blackberries. Bake for about 40 mins or until topping is golden brown. YUM! SERVES 6 (maybe)!!! See how easy this is? Try it tonight!!
And…if you don’t follow a strict paleo diet add a dollop of vanilla ice cream on top. YUM!
This dessert is light and seriously delicious. I think the next time I make it, I’ll make more topping…as that’s the best part!!
This Easy Paleo Blackberry Crumble is perfect on a hot summer day and to take to your next outdoor get-together!
