Get your body ready for the summer with this “wild” body scrub. Homemade body scrubs are so easy to make. You’ll want to use the best ingredients you can find to get the optimal benefits from it. These make excellent gifts to give, and with Easter and Mother’s Day coming up, you’ll be able to give your loved ones something that they can pamper themselves with. Not the best-looking scrub, but it will leave your arms and legs very soft and smooth.
Before you mix, find a glass bowl to mix your ingredients in and you’ll want to use either a glass jar or a hard plastic jar to store your scrub. Just make sure the jar you use is not made of cheap plastic. Plastics are known to absorb EO’s.
- 1 cup Dead Sea Salt (fine or medium grain)
- 1 cup Himalayan Salt (fine grain)
- 1/2 cup uncooked rolled oatmeal
- 1/2 cup coconut oil (other oils may be used also)
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 8 drops Orange EO or another high quality EO.
Pour oils in jar, set aside. Mix salts together in glass bowl. Add oatmeal, stir. Spoon salt/oatmeal mixture in jar with oils and mix well. Add EO last and mix. Then enjoy!!
Body scrubs help remove the dead layers of your skin’s surface, revealing a vibrant younger skin cells underneath – leaving your skin soft and smooth. Something definitely worth making yourself!
Use weekly as a stimulating all-over body exfoliate/scrub. Very important – don’t scrub every day. You wouldn’t want to scrub your face every day, same with your body – too much here – would be not so good. Use moderately.
