1st Annual Travel Talk Converge New Braunfels, TX
A weekend of fun, family, and learning is what went on at Schlitterbahn Waterpark in New Braunfels two weeks ago. Texas Travel Talk put on their very first Travel Talk Converge for Texas travel bloggers at the Bavarian Halle At Schlitterbahn Resort and invited our families along too. Getting to spend Mother’s Day weekend with my mom, and my son at a blog conference was ideal and much appreciated. It was multigenerational travel at its best.
1st Annual Travel Talk Converge
Texas Travel Talk was just a dream to Kami & Fran in early 2016 and has come to life through the years. Now they can say they’ve had their 1st annual Travel Talk Converge. The conference went so well, they plan to bring it back next year – and I’m going!
Not only did we learn how to take better photos with our phones and cameras, and how to hone in on pleasing the brands we work with, and to a much-needed course in making better videos, we also got to hear some fantastic speakers talk about Texas. Being a native of Texan, I love to listen to stories about Texas history, where the small towns are that no one has ever heard of, and all the fun adventures that’s going on in our big state!
It’s nice to gather with friends that you have something in common with and to enjoy a weekend of chatting and listening. That’s what we did. All these wonderful ladies were so helpful and supportive. Oh, I see one guy.
Mother’s Day was extraordinary for both mom and me. Brody gave us each a carnation at brunch and made us a Mother’s Day and Mema card.
Schlitterbahn Waterparks & Resorts New Braunfels
Schlitterbahn Waterpark in New Braunfels is known for many things, such as being a place for the entire family to enjoy, and being the “World’s Best Waterpark,” and to me, it’s both. We went a couple of years ago, but this time we stayed at the resort. I love how friendly and welcoming they were to us. Look what was in our rooms when we arrived. I think if we did nothing else, my son would have been happy hanging around the room and eating his chocolate bar with his name on it!! They even had movies at night out on the lawn which we partook in before hitting the sack for the night.
Be on the lookout for a Giveaway from me for four tickets to Schlitterbahn Waterpark New Braunfels. I’ll be running it on Instagram. If you haven’t followed me there, be sure to at https://instagram.com/forevergreenmom.
Next time you’re in New Braunfels, not only should you go to Schlitterbahn, but you should make a point to visit The Natural Bridge Caverns. There’s a lot of history going on in that cave.
