Closing Keynote Speaker, Jon Acuff was AWESOME! He made my first BlissDom experience a great one and one that I won’t forget!
The “end” was my beginning. So yes, I have a story to tell, and I shall start working on it now to share with you all.
But before the end of the conference, I did attend some sessions, but the ones I did sat into didn’t teach me about how to be a better writer, as that was my purpose in going. But I did make some valuable friendships and had a lot of fun talking with the Sponsors…they rocked!!
Got my picture taken compliments of One2One Network – I know I know…where’s my necklace??
All in all BlissDom was fun. It was in my home town, so I’d be silly not to go. I met a lot of interesting Sponsors and some I hope to work with in the near future.
I attended a few sessions that I could squeeze in as I was having too much fun talking to Sponsors and getting my face drawn from Event Toons, compliments of California Raisins….gosh not to mention eating trail mix with loads of raisins, testing out several honeys at the National Honey Board booth, drinking GoGo SqueeZ margaritas, flipping pizza dough at the Sbarro booth, chatting with my favorite girls at Office Candy, drinking coffee by Seattle’s Best Coffee and from Gevalia, and of course laughing and messing around with Julie!!
I made a pledge not to text and drive, made a promise at the Johnson & Johnson Suite, borrowed a Tampax from Always (oops…but I really did), took home dog food from PetSmart, joined in the effort with ConAgra Foods by tweeting #childhunger, and so much more. I wished I could name every Sponsor and everything they had to offer.
The Sponsors definitely need to be commended on a job well done. They are all listed on the BlissDom website.
So glad I waited until the very end to see and hear Jon Acuff speak – some attendees had already left to catch their flight home….but let me tell you folks – if you ever have the chance to listen to him…DO it! Or better yet, buy his books. His message to START was amazing. That’s also the name of his latest book.
