A perfect book for a mom to give to her daughter ~~~
Laura Eckroat really knows how to send out a great message in this book. The story captured my heart and will yours too! It’s one of those stories where you don’t cry at the end, but you just go “awwww…how precious of a story”. “A Simpler Time” is a heartfelt book about a young girl who learns the beauty of life from her mom by spending time with her doing simple things, such as looking up at the sky to spot an image or to catch bugs in a jar. A.J., the little girl didn’t realize just how precious the time spent with her mom would be the best summer she’d ever have.
Young A.J. was ready for summer and couldn’t wait to play on the computer and with her friends. But her mom had other ideas for her daughter that would later fill her little girl’s heart with a message that time is precious and so are the simple things in life.
I thought of my grand daughter (she’ll be 10 yrs in May) the whole time I was reading the book. Layla, I’m sure will identify with this little girl, as they both get bored quick and easy. I truly hope Layla finds simple things to do this summer like A.J experienced.
A very refreshing book that I highly recommend all moms buy for their little girls around the ages of 7 to 11 yrs. Summer is coming and this book will give you simple ideas to do with her to keep her busy and off the computer and/or in front of the TV. Plus, the message is inspiring and will make you smile!

Thank you Laura for making me smile and to realize that the simple things in life are far too precious to go unseen. Can’t wait to give this book to my grand daughter.
