Trick or Treat!! Are you ready for the big day? Halloween…that is! Costumes and Candy bought? No, not yet? Well, that’s okay, you’ve got plenty of time. Okay, now for a good ole healthy popcorn treat. I’m using only healthy ingredients. I indeed created a healthy snack that Brody loves. He loves it so much, he told me I couldn’t have any!! Hope you like it. We had fun making it together.
JOLLY TIME Healthy Popcorn Balls(Treats)
- 4 cups popped JOLLY TIME Butter Light (SMART BALANCE)
- Mixing bowl
- 1/4 cup agave nectar
- 1/2 cup all-natural peanut butter
- JOLLY TIME Pop Corn Ball Maker
- Small saucepan
- Wooden spoon
popcorn into the mixing bowl. Combine
agave nectar and peanut butter in the saucepan. Set the heat to
medium, stirring constantly with wooden spoon, until the mixture becomes frothy
and bubbly. Pour mixture over the popcorn in the bowl and mix well. Allow to
cool, and then form mixture into balls using JOLLY TIME Pop Corn Ball Maker or with your hands. Place the
popcorn balls on wax paper and allow to set for 20 to 30 minutes.
Well…..ours didn’t turn out like I hoped for. The ball didn’t stick after it was formed. It’s probably b/c of the natural peanut butter I used. There just wasn’t enough gooeyness!!! However, we absolutely loved the popcorn treat though. Ate it completely up!!
