I also ordered a side of Quinoa du Jour for $2.
A very healthy lunch. I’d never heard of endive before and thought I’d give it a try. I do like trying odd foods that I’ve never heard of. It wasn’t my favorite, but everything else sure was. The quinoa was very delicious. Their menu adapts with the seasons. Of course they offer more than just these salads…and very interesting enough – they choose to work without a freezer or fryer! I do suggest getting there early for lunch and give yourself a little more time as they do make everything to order, which does take longer to be served.
Gift Exchange time. We’re so funny. We both think we take terrible pictures so I said “let’s just look surprised and not pose for the picture”….and here we are!!!
Dee (left) gives the best gifts!!! She wanted it back…HA! I’ve known her for many many years. We grew up together and have managed to stay connected, and we do share some of the same qualities and likes.
Dee makes EVERYTHING from scratch….no wonder she picked The Magnolia CHEESE CO to have lunch! This is a few different soaps that she makes, and in the jar is organic grape syrup. Her home is beautiful and her garden is delightful. Never a dull moment at her house with her chickens, cows, goats and dogs.
We sat there long enough gibbering and gabbing that we both decided a dessert and coffee was in order. Dee ordered us this Texas Chevre Cheesecake. It was divine!
