SoFabCon is a Blogging Convention presented by Social Fabric/Collective Bias that will soon bring 100’s of bloggers all around the world together in Bentonville, Arkansas to learn, inspire& grow!
Feelin’ SoFabulous is a challenge put on by them to feel better before SoFabCon14. A few of us bloggers signed up to participate so that we can work on feeling our best when we all meet in May. I’m working on getting my back back in order so that I can go all day with out it giving me any troubles. This is our second month to post – my first post is the beginning of my Wellness Journey with my back problem!
I’m so excited to say that I went out shopping all day this past Saturday without having to slow down, stop, or give up. I did it! That morning Brody and I went to an early birthday party at Let’s Jump, then we stopped at Cabela’s to shoot guns and see the animals and the aquarium, then met my husband for lunch, and while we were waiting on our table, we watched Brody climb rocks, THEN I got the afternoon to myself and went to Hobby Lobby where I spent 2 hours looking at flowers to spruce up my home for spring. WOW that’s a lot for me to do in one day…sad, but true!
This is what I have – sounds bad, uh? In laymen terms this area of my back is out of alignment due to over-use and me fallen twice on my buttocks!! Silly stupid falls I did this pass summer.
spon·dy·lo·lis·the·sis noun ˌspän-də-lō-lis-ˈthē-səs
: forward displacement of a lumbar
vertebra on the one below it and especially of the fifth lumbar vertebra
on the sacrum producing pain by compression of nerve roots

Now, the reason I wanted to
share that is because 2 weeks ago or even a week ago, I could not have
done that. You see, my back has been giving me lots of problems lately
and I ended up going to the doctor and he sent me to get an x-ray –
which sent me to a physical therapist. She has done wonders for my back.
She’s giving me exercises and stretches to do at home…which I do or
try to do at least once a day. By her pressing on my tail bone and doing
what she does and with me doing my “homework” has made a ton of
difference in how I feel on a daily basis. YAY!

Sadly, I only have two more sessions with her and then I’m on my own. That’s what physical therapist do – they get you feeling better and teach YOU how to continue feeling better by giving you exercises to do at home. I’m sure going to miss her though. But so thankful she was able to get me feeling like I did before (about a year ago).
Here’s continuing to do everything I can in order to feel 100% at SOFABCON in May. I can do it. I have to…we’ve got so much planned this spring with my son. Lots of outdoor activities to do, so I have to be 100% for him!!
Below is a list of other bloggers that are talking about their challenges – if you get a chance please visit them to. We all need encouragement.
Hey SoFabbers – let’s do this together – we can do it!! See you all soon.
