My husband and I live on the corner of a pretty busy street in the old area of town. Our house sits on a 1/2 acre lot with lots of yard and trees. We try our best to take care of our yard all year-long so when springtime rolls around, it’s not such a struggle. Here are 10 reasons to strive for a healthy lawn this spring.
We just updated our house with brand new windows all around, so now it’s time to tackle the yard. We do a good job getting our grass green come springtime, but it gets to where we need help keeping everything healthy and vibrant all year long TruGreen, being an industry leader and the nation’s largest lawn care company is here to help “tackle” yard issues and give us back our yard pride. This year just might be the year for that perfect lawn for us – how about you? Don’t miss the opportunity to enter the TruGreen Backyard Makeover Sweepstakes. Tracy and I would absolutely LOVE to win. I’ll be entering it every day for sure!

Our backyard last spring/summer. There used to be a deck there, but before that there was a pool. We didn’t want either so now we have a huge yard with nothing. And there’s more of it to the left. I’d say we need TruGreen’s help!
This is the front left side of the house right before we got new windows this year. As you can see we’ve got lots of yard that needs landscaping. Maybe this will be the year!! Our future project is to extend our front porch all around the front of this house…oh if I can just talk my husband into it!!
My favorite things to do when my lawn is nice and green is to sit outside on my front porch and smell all the pretty flowers that I just planted and to watch the birds chirp and eat from the bird feeders that we have prepared for them. I’ve become a birder for sure! What is your favorite outdoor activity to do in your yard in the springtime? Please share!
