This Christmas book is not just another Santa book to read to your children this holiday, it’s a beautiful story about the author’s own family tradition of giving, and is meant to help our own children see how important giving to others is an important part of the holidays. With the special meaning of giving to children in need, you’ll find this heartfelt story to be one of the best Christmas stories to share with your children this season.
This special story is about a little boy (the author’s own son) who learns that some children do not get toys and clothes for Christmas like he does, and so he sets out to find how he can help by writing a letter to Santa.
“It’s Christmas! There will be carols and candy canes and sparkling presents under the tree! But what about children whose families have no presents to give? Kind-hearted Drew wants to help them, but how? A magical story of how one little boy received a very special Giving Bag from Santa – and how his Christmas wish came true.”
The Spirit of Christmas Book Set includes the above picture book with beautiful illustrations, a huge festive giving bag (below), and a keepsake bell.
My son will be busy this month and next filling up his gift bag full of toys for Santa to give to little boys and girls who may not get any this year. I’m so proud of him. I will admit that he is a little reluctant to give away his toys right now. Hopefully by me reading the book to him a couple more times and instilling in him that giving to those in need is a thoughtful and kind idea, and by doing so will make him a better person for it, he’ll come around and happily give up some toys he no longer plays with.
Please give to less fortune children this year by filling up a bag or box with gentle used toys & games and gently worn clothing and dropping it off at your nearest clothes closet or The Salvation Army.
