Another fun visit to the SEALIFE Aquarium Grapevine. It’s always nice to see what new exhibit they are offering. This time its CLAWS. It was blogger family night last week and we got to see them feed this porcupine crab and the one below. Finiky eater they are!!
I love to post about our visits here because Brody always has such a wonderful time looking at all the creatures. He (and we) learn something new at every visit. On blogger family night we get in at no charge and they really don’t expect a blog post…but it’s such a great place for the whole familyto go so I like to share the info!! This is one event my husband likes to attend with us. We went out to dinner right aferwards. Grapevine is full of places fun things to do and lots of places to have dinner.
The CLAWS Exhibit is quite cool with several different “claws” to see.
Did you know the crab is one of the oldest species on earth? Some can live over 100 years.
Crabs are crustaceans…meaning the do not have a skeleton on the inside. There are 6,793 species of crab found in oceans and fresh water all around the world.
I can sort of relate to the “crab” as that’s my zodiac sign. HA! I’ve even been called a crab in my younger years.
Every year, 1.5 million crabs get eaten by humans. Have you ever had crab? Pretty good, uh?
The CLAWS Exhibit is only for a limited time, so make sure you take the family soon. To read more information on this exciting exhibit, go to CLAW YOUR WAY TO SEA LIFE GRAPEVINE THIS APRIL
SEALIFE Aquarium is located in the Grapevine Mills Mall right across from Legoland. Your kids are going to go crazy with all the fun there!!!
