I was simply thrilled when I received an invitation from the Gaylord Texan inviting us to a Family Blogger Event to help celebrate their Summerfest 2016 featuring Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. I anticipated it to be a real nice event, and couldn’t wait to tell my son.
So, if you don’t mind, here’s a “spoiler alert” for Gaylord’s Summerfest 2016. You’ll definitely want to go to see it all in person. We got to the hotel early so we could walk around and to make sure we knew exactly where we were suppose to be at 8pm for the event. It was nice to see the hotel in the summer months and all the beautiful flowers and greenery all around the hotel. I was able to get some great photos of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
Can you name these characters below?
Look below at all the detail!! AMAZING!! Yes, that’s sand.
Brody always has a good time when he can get involved in the decor!! Not sure why he didn’t want to smile.
When we got to the area where we were being hosted by Gaylord, I was surprised and felt quite honored. The set-up was so nice and beautiful. My husband and son thought the ice cream bar was the bomb…I did too.
They provided face painting for the kids and the four characters you saw above were there the whole time to play with the kids and not sure who, but one of them blew up balloons for all the kids who wanted one. Super fun for them. The doggy face was popular.
There are quite of few activities for the entire family to do that are free and there’s some that costs money. The 4D Wonderland Adventure Maze is one that cost money, and once you buy a ticket you can go inside as many times as you want. Grab your 3D glasses and go. It winds around…and you may get lost!!! We did.
We had a great time. It’s worth checking out. Be sure to go to Gaylordtexan.com for tickets and info. Oh, one more thing…the Light show was the best and it’s free.
“Breaking Through the Looking Glass” – 3D Visual Light Show – no glasses needed. Enjoy this quick video…I wouldn’t want to spoil the whole thing for you.
