So, I get this 2016 Toyota RAV4 SE SUV to drive for a week in exchange for my opinion and social media shares, right? I can’t say we had a wonderful adventure planned as our little one is still in school, but boy did I have a lot of errands to run. I’m a busy mom with a six-year-old graduating from Kindergarten and having a beach party afterwards that I signed up to bring fruit, a husband who needs everything all at once for a trip he is planning in a couple of days, and a mother who is visiting for a week that loves to go shopping with me. I must say, this vehicle got me places faster than both of our cars put together would have. I was able to whip in and out of those parking spaces like a queen!! Did I mention the size of the RAV4 is perfect for whipping in and out of parking spaces? YEP!
Mom’s, if you have little ones, you’ll appreciate this vehicle. Not only will it save you on gas while running your errand and toting around the kids everywhere, it is also beneficial because your kids just might be able to close the back door all by themselves. I found that my son could open and shut the back door on his own, unlike his daddy’s big truck. So it’s nice not to have to do this for them. He loved the fact that he could do it himself…and I love the independence I’m trying to instill in him.
I literally grew up with Toyota because my best friend’s father owned a Toyota dealership in Hurst, TX. She always got to drive new ones and I was always in the passenger seat riding around with her. When it was time to buy my 3rd car, I went straight to her dad’s dealership and bought a brand new 4-door Toyota Corolla. Then a couple of years later I wanted something different, something more sporty, so I went to my best friend’s dad’s dealership again and this time I bought a used (but beautiful) black sport 2-door Corolla. Not sure the specific name of it, but it was a beaut and it had a sunroof. I kept that car long enough to not have a car payment for a year, then handed it down to my first son. After that, here I go back one more time and I bought a used 2006 beige Camry. I loved that car…it was so comfy and stylish.
Vehicles have come a long way since my first cars, but today, I’ve enjoyed all the features of this Toyota RAV4, such as the sun roof, the key less starter, the navigation system, the leather interior, however, my most prize feature was when I found that lumbar knob on the left side of the driver’s seat, I was in heaven. It worked like a charm on my lower back, and boy that’s a plus for this old back of mine!!!
The 2016 RAV4 might be a small size SUV, but the room inside of it is something to rave about, especially in the trunk, but also the backseat has lots of let room. My son found a perfect spot in the middle console to hold his ice cream. He didn’t even spill a drop!

Running errands and have fun shopping with my mom was fun…and even more fun in this SUV that I got to drive all week. OH, and they also gave me an one-hour massage at Massage Envy. Wasn’t that nice of them? I thought so. I love massages…oh yes!!!
Shopping at the Vintage Market in Denton, TX with my mom.
A trip to Home Depot for flowers and soil for my garden.
So we say goodbye to this awesome Toyota today. It was a great ride for sure. When I told my son this morning as I was driving him to school in the car, that they are coming to pick up this car today, he said “Goodbye Captain America Mobile”…you know because of the color!!! Kids say the cutest things, don’t they?
