Before I get to the recipe, I wanted to share my picks for the football season. Being a native Texan from the Dallas area, no doubt the Dallas Cowboys are my chosen team. But, no matter what team you’re rooting for, you’ll find all kinds of football memorabilia and essentials in the Wayfair NFL Fan Shop

You can make your own Idea Board at Wayfair for free…and save it so you can go back to it whenever you want. Take a break, stretch your legs during half time and go outside to play a quick game of cornhole with the fam! That’s always a fun game no matter the weather.

*Don’t worry if you do not have venison for the chili, just substitute either sausage or hamburger meat and you’re good to go! Enjoy!
Brown venison and sausage with butter in cast iron pot or pot of choice. Add all dry ingredients and canned tomatoes + 1 can of water. Cook for 2-1/2 hours on low heat. Taste after 2 hours and season more if needed. The longer you cook it the better it is!!
