8 DIY Beauty Products to Make at Home
So, I know if you’re here, you’re interested in doing it yourself beauty products. When you have a moment, please look all over my site because I offer a lot of DIY products from home & body as well.
Eye Makeup Remover
It doesn’t get any easier than this one. If you wear non-waterproof mascara, you’ll want to make this. Take a pea-size of coconut oil and with your finger rub on your eyes. Then wipe clean with a damp rag or cotton ball. That’s it on this one.
Deep Hair Conditioner
This conditioner is excellent for dry, brittle hair. You’ll love the moisture it puts back into your hair. When you’ve got about 30 minutes or so to spare, you’ll enjoy making this and applying it to your hair and scalp. I posted this DIY a couple of years ago here DIY Deep Hair Conditioner
Have you ever been successful in trying to find a fingernail polish that matches the exact color you’re looking for? If your answer is no, it’s time that you create your color. One of the simplest beauty products that you can create from home, ever. All you need is a clear bottle of fingernail polish and an eye-shadow color. Break up a bit of the eyeshadow into a powder, drop it straight into the clear fingernail polish bottle, and stir. That’s it. You just created your own color of fingernail polish!
Nail Polish Remover
Love to paint your nails but hate the harsh smell that comes with using those over-the-counter nail polish removers? Here’s a simple homemade nail polish remover to try and the best part, it only takes two ingredients – vinegar and lemon juice! Talk about safe and affordable!
- Roll-on glass bottle – 1 oz.
- 1 oz. sweet almond oil or another light carrier oil such as doTerra’s Fractionated Coconut Oil
- 7 drops ylang-ylang pure essential oil
- 4 drops lavender pure essential oil
- 3 drops cypress pure essential oil
- 2 drops sweet orange pure essential oil
Carefully add EO’s to the bottle – drop by drop, then fill with sweet almond oil. Blend well by rolling bottle between your hands. Apply to your skin and smell!
- A clean container with a lid
- A disposable mascara wand
- 1 tsp. castor oil (known for its proteins to thicken and to strengthen hair)
- 1 tsp. coconut oil
- 2 vitamin E capsules
Add the oils to the container, then add the vitamin E oil by piercing and squeezing oil out of each capsule. Put the lid on and mix up by shaking.
To apply – dip mascara wand into the solution and apply to lashes like you would mascara, concentrating on the roots. Do this at night and leave on.
- Clean container with a lid
- Disposable mascara wand

Combine equal parts of all oils in the container. Shake to mix and apply with a mascara wand. Do this at night and leave on.
*Try on eyebrows too.
All you need is avocado oil and Vitamin E oil. Mix and rub on your cuticles. I do this at night in bed before I turn the lights out. AND, while I’m at it, I rub it on my feet too, especially my heels. It’s incredible how your hands and feet will feel and look in a week’s time.
