As I look back, I realize we have gone to Gaylord Texan’s Lone Star ICE! for the past 9 years (now 10 years). Though I only have a record of a few visits on my blog, we have had many more years of fun there. I wanted to share our 9 Years of Gaylord Texan’s Lone Star ICE! with you.
Gaylord Texan is the best place I can think of to start a Family Tradition. I suppose after visiting here for almost ten years straight; I can indeed call it our Family Tradition.
9 Years of Gaylord Texan’s Lone Star ICE!
My family has been going to ICE since 2009 (maybe since 2008), and it’s pretty amazing. You have to bundle up in a big coat (they provide), and you can slide down a giant ice slide. It’s family friendly all around. ICE themes change every year, and it merely gets more amazing each year. Grab a hot chocolate and pick up a few souvenirs in their Christmas shop. This year they even have a Build-A-Bear station where you can get your favorite plush animal stuffed. And the tubes (more ice slides) seemed even longer and more fun than previous years. Christmastime at the Gaylord is a must!

As of right now, this might be the first ICE we went to. I haven’t given up on finding if we went in 2008.
As you can see, we LOVE Gaylord Texan’s Lone Star ICE. The last two I was invited by the Gaylord and they gave us tickets in exchange for social exposure, but for the most part, my family has enjoyed many years of ICE! on our own, and there will be many more to come!!
