Summer was full of fun times, but do you know this kid is ready for school to start? It’s back to school first grade for our son, Brody.
Back to School First Grade for Our Son
The above picture tells it all. Our little Brody is back in school. I saw so many “First Day of School” pictures on my FB feed and hoping that mine was in there too somewhere for everyone to see. It’s such a proud moment for parents and an excited one for the students. I actually can not remember where I found this printable, but Aimee Geroux at Extreme Coupon Mom offers Free Back to School printables on her site.
Getting his picture taken in front of the school sign is now a tradition. We did it last year and will continue to do it each year. Can you tell the excitement in his eyes? Maybe you can’t, but Tracy and I can. That smile has been on his face since he woke up. He even woke up before I did. It feels good knowing your child is excited about school.
I laid his clothes out for the day on his bed, but being such a picky dresser, he opts for another shirt. I had a more colorful one picked out but he insisted on wearing his Mini Boden tee shirt with his Mini Boden jean shorts. Man, do those close fit well and wash well. Here’s a post I wrote on the Mini Boden outfits I was able to get for him for a Back to School sponsored post. FALL BACK INTO SCHOOL WITH MINI BODEN.
This is Brody and his friend Rhyder. They were in Kindergarten together. I’m glad there is at least one friend in his class from last this year. Now, they both have a lot of new friends to get to know.
Oh, and I signed up to be Room Mom and a volunteer. No matter what position I hold, I’ll be up there a lot helping out his teacher.
This is Mrs. Longbrake – Brody’s First Grade Teacher. She came from teaching 5th grade. I sure hope she knows what she’s getting into here.
Also, here’s a few darling Back to School Lunch Box Notes FREE Printables from Crowning Details website.
It’s going to be a great year for him and all kiddos at Justin Elementary School! YAY!!
