Now that it’s been nice outside we are taking fully advantage of it. Here’s the kind of things we like to do outdoors and around the house.
Outdoors and Around the House
Brody and I were outside watering the flowers and this bird was at the feeder eating what was left of the bird food. It didn’t even budge when we got close to it. I thought maybe it was hurt, but it did finally fly up into the tree, but not very far. I had asked on FB what kind of bird this was and why it didn’t fly off when we got close. Here’s what a friend said it was – “That would be a House Finch. They are the first migratory bird that I use for the arrival of spring. Very tame.” Here’s what he said about the later – “I’m guessing he’s doing some bird blogging about empty feeders. lol. They are always around houses, nesting, so I’m guessing they are naturally tame like a Wren.” This guy is always making fun of my blogging…little rat!!
Got a new fence. With all the rain we had, it’s still not totally completed. We still need a latch and a board replaced. The rose sure did take a beaten from all that rain we got. We’re hoping we didn’t lose them completely. More rain is coming, so will will examine them after all rain is over.

Brody and I took a walk to the park. The slide is his favorite. We also took the puppies and we hung out under a tree in the shade and watched Brody play.
Here’s Brody posing for me for a post I did on OshKosh B’Gosh clothes. He loves to swing at home, but loves the big red slide at the park.
Here’s what it looks like now after the rain.
Here’s our garden. I haven’t talked much about it as we are still trying to prefect it. This is our first garden so we are not sure if we are doing it right.
Here’s a bath salt recipe I made. I took this picture in the garden next to the rosemary plant. The recipe turned out as good as the photo did. Go here if you would like the easy instruction on this bath salt.
The grand kids came over for a little while to celebrate Easter. We get them when we can. So Easter had past, but family time is still the same – special!!
That’s pretty much our April so far. Hopefully yours is special too!!
