Test Your Ninja Skills at LEGOLAND® DISCOVERY CENTER
Grapevine, Texas (February 6, 2017) – Get ready to add colorful creations to LEGO® Friends Heartlake City and put your ninja skills to the ultimate test in the all-new LEGO® Ninjago City Adventure opening this March at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Dallas/Fort Worth.
Located in the former LEGO® City Fire Academy play area, the $850,000, a 1,782-square-foot interactive play area is the first of its kind in the world, and the center’s third interactive experience to open within the last two years.
“We’re excited to provide our guests with an amazing new interactive play area, LEGO® Ninjago City Adventure, which immerses guests into the world of the popular LEGO® Ninjago building sets,” said Kelly Schwartz, General Manager, LEGOLAND® Discovery Center. “In addition, we are introducing a new building experience, LEGO® Friends Heartlake City, which also opens this spring adjacent to our new play area.”
Structured after the Temple of Airjituz, the oriental-style two-story play structure puts guests’ physical skills to the test as they fight to save Ninjago City. Kids can test their balance, agility, strength, and endurance with more than 20 interactive features and become a Spinjitzu Master.
Join Sensei Wu and practice ninja moves in the Dojo training room by tackling a horizontal climbing wall and testing hand-eye coordination on the color crush reflex reaction game. Then move to the temple where ninjas-in-training can engage in a number of obstacle course challenges alongside their favorite Ninjago characters Kai, Jay, Cole, Lloyd, Zane, and Nya.
From navigating a vortex spinning barrel, mastering the art of Spinjitzu on the spiral slide of lights, harnessing the power of the water on wave decks, surfing rolling waves on the conveyor, crawling through hover rings and lighting buzzer bars, taking on a crisscross maze and vertical rope climb, to testing their LEGO® building skills and more.
Join the LEGO® Friends and build some of your own colorful creations to add to Heartlake City. Play and pose for pictures with life-sized models of all the LEGO® Friends – Mia, Olivia, Andrea, Stephanie, and Emma.
While the new play area is under construction, guests can meet Gotham City’s Caped Crusader at the exclusive “The LEGO® Batman™ Movie” Days event taking place daily through March 2 in celebration of the Warner Bros. Pictures feature film. Movie fans will enjoy photo ops with the scene-stealing star, a MINILAND villain takeover and LEGO® Batman™-inspired build activities.
