Would you like to help celebrate Earth Month with projects that help restore waterways across the U.S.? This post is Sponsored by Tom’s of Maine®. Read on to learn how Tom’s of Maine celebrates Earth Month in a big way, and how you can help too.
April 22nd is the official Earth Day celebration, but many businesses celebrate this day all month long. I’ve been trying to do my part by taking care of the earth a little better, conserve a bit more, and to give my time where we can. I’m also helping Tom’s of Maine celebrate Earth Month by spreading the word about our nation’s precious waterways, such as rivers, canals, lakes, streams and any body of water.
Tom’s of Maine Celebrates Earth Month in a Big Way
My husband and I love to vacation anywhere there is a body of water. There’s something about rivers and streams that flow naturally that makes us feel whole and free. It gives us such a clear picture of nature. We have to help that to continue.
From the time I was 12 years old, my family spent our weekends on Cedar Creek Lake in Mabank, TX. My parents bought this house on the lake in 1972. It was our weekend family getaway. Cedar Creek was and still is part of our lives. We felt like we owned a little piece of the water. My family and I took care of our area by keeping it clean, never throwing trash in it, and always making sure the fish and ducks had a safe place to swim. Heck, we even bathed in it. Oh yes, we did!
For the record, this property is still in our family. My sister and her husband own it now, and my mom lives across the street. So life at the lake continues and continues to be a part of us. So, you can see why I’m excited to help celebrate restoring waterways across the U.S.
In helping with this project, I will vote for my favorite waterway project that speaks to me the most. Here’s where you can help. You can also cast your vote for your favorite waterway that you care about the most. Keep reading.
Turn the Tide Earth Month Campaign #TurntheTide
Tom’s of Maine partnered with The Nature Conservancy, the leading conservation organization in an exclusive partnership where Tom’s of Maine is donating $1,000,000 to help fund four projects that restore waterways across the US. You and I can help by voting for the project that speaks to us the most. No purchase necessary. Your purchase will not increase the contribution to The Nature Conservancy. A portion of the donation will go toward administration of the mission of The Nature Conservancy.
By voting on one of these four projects below, you can feel inspired that you helped celebrate Earth Month in a “big way” just like Tom’s of Maine. All projects receive funding, and the projects with the most votes will receive extra funding.
- The Colorado River
- The Mississippi River

By the way, the Silly Strawberry Anticavity Kids Toothpaste is my son’s favorite and has been for over three years or more. When I try to change things up, he doesn’t like it. Parents, they also have a fluoride-free version, and it has a sweet flavor that your kids might like too.
I use Tom’s of Maine deodorant and their Fluoride-free Antiplaque & Whitening toothpaste with peppermint flavor but haven’t tried the beauty bar until now. It smells so good. I love the way it makes me feel.
Remember, Tom’s of Maine celebrates Earth Month in a big way to help our nation’s waterways which in turn helps our environment. We can certainly help with that too. Don’t you think?
