I took a quick picture of our son trying on his Tiger Cub uniform at the store so I could send it to his daddy, and it occurred to me that we have a Tiger Cub in our house now…and you know what that means – camp outs, meetings, popcorn sales, fun &, adventures!!
We have a Tiger Cub in our House!
If you have a Cub Scout then you know it’s an exciting time for them. Boys can learn so much about friendship, helping others, setting goals, and how to survive in the great outdoors, and among many other things.
The Cub Scout Pack meeting location couldn’t get any better. This is Brody walking to his first Tiger Cub meeting…right across the street where we live. Yes, I’m right behind him. I or my husband or both of us will attend every meeting. Our boy is growing up way too fast. I can remember the just the other day that we were walking to the church across the street with Brody in a Tigger costume for their Trunk or Treat event that they have every year. He was probably one year old.
Cub Scout’s Popcorn Fundraiser is their largest fundraiser of the year which it helps the Packs run smoothly, and of course, helps with camp outs, membership, and even a small amount goes towards a Scholarship (see more below)
Our popcorn fundraiser is well on it’s way as of today and I can’t wait to get started. I think I’m more excited than Brody. Well, I should be. The Boy Scouts of America has come up with something new this year, and that is – If a Scout sales $2500 of popcorn 6% of that will go into a Scholarship Fund that can be used for College. The Scout only has to reach that goal one time to be able to get that 6% EACH YEAR!!! How exciting is that? Pretty exciting for this mom…and dad.
FYI…Cub Scouts IS part of Boy Scouts
I’ve had parents and friends ask me that.
I was going to just write that our son is now a Tiger Cub and leave it at that…but then I thought I may get someone who reads this who would like to help support our son. So here’s information about popcorn sales and how to order. Now you know it’s all about supporting the boy scouts….and the product you bought is JUST a bonus – right parents? So here’s Brody’s webpage that anyone can order from. It also has some yummy coffee available for purchase too. Each item will tell you how much money goes to the Scout.
If you would like to support our son, Brody Taylor with a popcorn purchase please go here —> Cub Scout Trails End Web page
Thank you in advance. Your purchase is much appreciated.
Do or did you have a Boy Scout OR Girl Scout in your family? I’d love to hear about how they did.
